Psychology Research

Into Partners' Expectations and Perceptions of One-Another

Welcome to the Study

As there are as many minds as there are heads,
so there are as many kinds of love as there are hearts
- Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina

Dear research participants!

The initial study of this research is now complete. However, the data collection is still in progress and all new responses will be used in subsequent analyses. If it is your first time on this website, please, consider participating in the research. I am particularly seeking members of a couple.

To participate, you must be:
  • at least 18 years old
  • married or in a current romantic relationship for at least 6 months
  • considering to invite your partner to this website (instructions will be provided)

If you are already responding to the invitation from your partner, you will be later asked to provide your "family password."

If you had previously participated in this research, the group findings for the initial study are posted here.

To prospective participants:

This study has begun as a part of the doctoral dissertation in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University, San Francisco. Given the need for a larger sample size of couples as well as the longitudinal nature of this research, I continue seeking members of couples and following up with registered research participants.

If you decide to take part in this study, your participation will consist of providing answers to a set of questionnaires about yourself, your spouse or partner, and the relationship. Your participation in the research is confidential. Because the initial study is lengthy (about 45 min.), you will be able to complete the questionnaires at more than one sitting if necessary. Please, click "Continue" to participate...

Thank you,
Michael Ivanov, Ph.D.
